Three things, and nothing else.
If you use the contact form, I receive the name, email address, subject, and message you type. That's used for one purpose: to read your message and reply to it. It is never sold, shared, or added to a mailing list.
The message is delivered to my inbox by Resend, an email delivery service acting on my behalf. Contact form messages are not stored on this website — they go straight to email.
If you use the AI assistant, your messages and its replies are stored so I can see what people ask and improve the answers. If you choose to share your name, email, phone or company during the conversation, that is stored with it so I can follow up — nothing is taken without you typing it.
Conversations are held in a Supabase database, and the messages themselves are processed by Google's Gemini API to generate replies. Your IP address is not stored — it is converted into a one-way salted hash used only to group a single visitor's messages and to apply rate limits.
There are no accounts and no sign-in. If you'd like a conversation deleted, email [email protected] — conversations are removed on request, and otherwise kept no longer than needed to answer and follow up.
If — and only if — you press Accepton the cookie banner, this site uses Google Analytics to count page views and see which projects people actually read. It records things like the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and whether you're on mobile or desktop. IP addresses are anonymised.
Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode and writes no cookies at all. If you decline, it stays that way. Either way the site works identically — nothing is gated behind consent.

This site stores a few small preferences in your browser's local storage. These never leave your device and are not cookies sent to any server:
The only actual cookies are the ones Google Analytics sets, and only after you accept. Clearing your browser storage for this site removes all of it.
I don't use advertising networks, social media trackers, or data brokers.
Contact messages stay in my email inbox for as long as they're useful for our correspondence, and I delete them when they aren't. Google Analytics data is retained on Google's default schedule and is not tied to your identity.
If you're in the UK, EU, or a region with comparable law, you have the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, to request a copy of it, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You can also withdraw analytics consent at any time using the control above.

This site is aimed at clients and employers, and isn't directed at children. I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
If I add features that handle data differently, I'll update this page and change the date at the top before those features go live.
